- What do you particularly like about it? What's especially impressive?
- What could be improved? What's missing or could be added?
2. Based on what you've read on the blog (and maybe seen in test screenings in class) what suggestions do you have regarding what we could do to make our Practical Production really successful?
- What other things could we include in the production?
- How should we go about filming any remaining scenes or editing the footage during post-production (+ suggestions for music, etc.)?

1. Your blog contains some very detailed research about Iraq and it's good there are video links which makes your blog interesting to view. I also like your pics posted.
I think you should include more research about your actual production and post up shots you have produced.
For post production, you could use a contrapuntal soundtrack which would prove effective and use a voiceover

* I think your blog looks good; also with video links it makes the blog interesting and good use of colours.
* Maybe add some photos of places you have filmed and music you hope to use
* looking at the footage from the test screening you got good footage (lighting was good) just work on putting more than one person in the frame as you kinda cut tara out lol
neema..
*I think your blog looks good because you can show that you have used a lot of research. It is all interesting and will relate to us all because we have all witnessed he IRAQ events infornt of our eyes.
*I think you need to show what you have done so far usuing images or describing in detail.
*You should use a male voiceover for post production so it can prove effective and put across a view that as its a male talking its a serious issue.
Hope everything goes well for your post production. Good luck.
..*[ZaRa]*..
The video links are good, as well as the pics.
Try and upload some footage as it would show the audience the concept behind your production
You could try to use contrapuntal music as well as a voice over.

Your blog looks really good so far, alot of research has been put in, which is extremly useful for others to read.
You can maybe add pictures on your blog of the filming you have done so far.
I would definately recommend you to have a male voiceover, it will go well with your production.
I cant wait to see the final thing! keep up the hardwork!
good luck!

comment above from KIRANDEEP JHEITA!
1. Your blog looks good and the links add to the interesting topic.
Although you could add clips from your filming as the footage seems good.
2. The footage we saw in lesson was good and emotional and you just need to focus on getting them both in during the interviews, you could have also switched it to Tara just to show her reaction. The close ups when both of them were getting emotional was really good too.
Good Luck..

1. I think you have done some good research. However you should probably post up more images, and filming that you have carried out so far.
2. I think you should possibly use Parallel music in your production.

* So far your blog looks good and contain a lot o detailed research which is good use to you.
* For your production you should have a male voice over as this is a serious subject it will show that through the male voice over also following documenatry convections.
* On your blog post some footage that has been taken as we are able to comment on it and give you more ideas!
* Overall, your blog looks good, keep the good work up and good luck...

Hey guysss….
Great documentary topic. Can’t wait to see the finished product. There is lots of detailed research up on your blog which shows that you are all really committed to your project as you’ve looked it up in depth. Radhi showed me some of your footage… looks really good. You’ve done well making it look emotional as that makes it create most impact.
In order to improve your blog I think that your progress reports should be slightly more detailed and include some more evaluation so that it will help you in the future. Also, try and post up a detailed structure of your documentary.
During post production….
When you show the interviews don’t just let them run through from start to finish. Break them up with scenes that relate to what the person is talking about so that it looks more visual and interesting to watch. Also, as your focussing on 4 different teens include a little background information on them in terms of their everyday lives. i.e. footage of them going to school, interacting with friends etc as this will help to emphasise the fact that they are just normal everyday people. You could try and contrast scenes of British life with that of some archive footage of life in Kurdistan as this will provide an effect visual contrast.
Good luck with everything and well done…

WOah!!! u have bare research it looks good and is detailed.
i got to admit i wasn't sure this production would work but seeing the group in action and some footage i can see how well and interesting it is going to be, however i think you could improve on your shots from what i saw u when interviewing the camera constantly moved lol.
the thing i like the most off your production is getting tara speaking at the conference.

the blog is very interesting and really good details of the work that you're doing, and the good thing is when u added ur pictures, it looks really good.
u could add more videos on the blog about Iraq and other pictures to make it more lively and attractive, i like the picture that u put up of the kurdistan students of the school. try to add some footage of the production.
for the post production u can use iraqi music which will be parallel to the documentary.
for one post try changing the colour because we can hardly see the writting.
good luck for the editing...
Lamia
The research you've got is really detailed, and theres alot of news about this topic anyway, so the audience will understand it.
As u guys seem to have alot of characters in the production, make sure that all of them relate, and at the end it all comes to one point. This will show a clear focus on ur documentary...
Also if ur using a montage sequences of archive news reports, you could try having (1sec) slips of the characters to just quickly introduce them into the documentary.

I think your blog looks really good so far-it shows you’ve done a lot of research and I think the video clips from you tube are totally relevant-so well done.
I think you should post up what you’ve filmed as this will help give us an overview.
I haven’t seen the footage but I think you should use a lot of close up shots when interviewing to show emotion. Also, I think you should use some really sad depressing music either in the beginning (to draw the audience in) or in the end (as the ending is important and it will leave the audience in a sad mood). That will be very effective and powerful.
Pardeep
Your blog is looking really cool and flashy, you've got some really good info on there and its all gr8!
the footage we saw in class was very good however you could have made sure that the camera wasnt shaking so much however the footage was wicked! loving your topic as it is discussed around by many differnt people!
you could put your footage on the blog!
keep up the good work!!

1. The blog is looking great! - just make it more detailed at times with more progress reports
I like the conferance video you've posted up and in regards to that (and the filming i saw in class) my one main target for the group would be to aviod having too many camera actions - sometimes the group zooms in and out too much when there's no need becuase it distracts the attention from what's being shown on screen to the edit. Next time , if and when you film, i strongly recommend that you just leave the camera on the tripod and leave it there, and if you feel like you want some closeups then film the next 1 minute on close ups - but once again on the tripod.
Vishna
1. Your blogs eyecatching and informative. Youve got quite a lot of detailed research and the topic is original.
2. Try and make use of a voiceover when editing.
Vivek
heya...your blog looks good its got alot of info so boviously u lot have done all your research..and cuz theres soo much to say bout iraq...with it on the news all the time...im sure u lot aarnt shot of footage...n archive footage can always be used...havnt seen your work yet but soo far i like the look of your blog so cant wait t see your production...so keep it uo n keep on addin in pictures btw the links r realli good...
simran
your blog looks very good and it you have shown alot of in depth research into your topic including the videos which are very relevant to your topic including the photos. i think that the topic itself is a unique and mature topic to make a documentary on as the incidents in Iraq have affected alot of people in the U.K
I think you need to include some sound whilst editing and in order to improve the blog you should show some footage of what you have done and add photos of the settings tou have used. good work though keep it up..
Kunal
Your blog has alot of information which is useful for people trying to find our about your subject. It has video links and websites which is informational...though I think think it would be better if you added some more research on your actual footage than other ones. You have an interesting topic and I think that it would be interesting if you were to add an interesting voiceover for your work to make it more attention grabbing.

1)
i think your blog looks really good it has alot of information reasearched and the video clips/images looks good.
i think you should show some images of what you've done soo far.
2)
for post production you could use a contrapuntal sounds and a male voiceover as it would prove effective.
...Jasmit...
u lot have got the most research ive seen so far, uve gone into so much detail and it gives a real clear understanding of ur documentary.
all i suggest is to include a few clips of ur production so far
good luck
ant
1) Your blog seems to be really detailed, the footage you have is great and interesting
2)From the footage i have seen, the producvtion is very emotional and actually kleeps the audience interested throughout an interview.Perhaps next time the camera should stay still and show both people involved ion the interview
- good luck
Baldip
The blog has a lot of detailed reserch on iraq and the videos are engaging, the test screening of the interview had good content but the camera work was very awkward, try keeping both people in one frame and not moving the camera about too much because it doesn't grab the viewers attention as much as it would if it were still.
1. Good strong solid research and also one of the most complete blogs their are with the research, pictures of the group memebers, footage and progress reports. Its got that lot
2. You may have everything, but the amount of research is not good enough. Research is important and make a huge difference. Need more
3. Styles of music will be important, whether contrapuntal or parallel.
4. Voiceover could maybe be used in some areas.
Good Luck!
1. overall I really like your blog because you have given a lot of information and shown a lot of research on the topic at hand, and I really like the way you have explored the political position of Iraq
2. I could really read some of the text in the blog, bright yellow, may be you could change that
3. I suggest using a lot of archive footage in your documentary, it will contrast really well with your production
Sundeep Kahlon
Research within the blog was very detailed, showing that you guys are motivated, so good stuff there!
In your production, you guys can use a soundtrack of cultural music with parallel scenes and cut-aways. Hope that helps!
yh yh ur blogs lookin wicked, its got da hole video footage goin on which is good, and shows us how dedicated you are to this media proect.
* ummm add some music innit or add more picturs into it of you lot so it makes the page more appealing.
